Stowe Mountain Lodge (now Lodge at Spruce Peak) tops the list — you walk out the back, cross a heated plaza and you are on the Over Easy gondola. Rooms $450-$900 in peak weeks. Killington Grand Resort at Ramshead is the next-best true ski-in for mid-range budgets, $280-$550, though the walk to the Snowshed lift is honestly closer to 200 metres. Jay Peak’s Hotel Jay is the value pick at $220-$400, with the tram literally out the door.
The ones marketed as ski-in that really aren’t
Stratton’s Long Trail House and Village Lodge require a short shuttle or a slog with skis over your shoulder — I would call them ski-adjacent. Same at Okemo’s Jackson Gore Inn if you are not in the right wing. Mount Snow’s Grand Summit is legitimately ski-in on the Grand Summit lift side; ask for a west-facing room. Sugarbush Clay Brook is the underrated winner for Mad River loyalists — $320-$600, quiet, and Lincoln Peak lifts are 40 seconds away.
